March 28

— KUWAIT (Reuters) - Damage to a seafront cinema and shopping mall in Kuwait City on Saturday was caused by a missile but there were no casualties, Kuwaiti defense sources told Reuters.

Reuters correspondents saw parts of what appeared to be a missile tailfin in the debris. Earlier, witnesses said they saw a missile fly in from the direction of Iraq. One witness, a policeman, said it landed in the sea close by.

"It was a missile. There were no casualties," one of the defense sources said.
